## Synopsis

Colin from Accounts (2022-present) is an Australian romantic comedy series created by Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall for Binge. Dyer plays Ashley and Brammall plays Gordon, two single but complicated people whose lives collide after a car accident and an injured dog bring them together. Their engine is the slow, awkward effort to let each other see their true selves, scars and all, while everyday life, friends and their own defenses keep getting in the way. Supporting characters Chiara (Genevieve Hegney), Megan (Emma Harvie), and Brett (Michael Logo) add friction and warmth around the central pair. The show runs for three seasons of eight half-hour episodes each, and it reads as one continuing romance rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is candid, funny and tender, with self-deprecating dialogue that lands softly rather than cynically. Set in contemporary Australia, it draws on the tradition of Australian romantic comedy. Fans of Catastrophe, Fleabag and Lovesick will find resonance in its frank, flawed characters and its mix of sharp humor and emotional honesty.
