## Synopsis

Red Queen (2024-present) is a Spanish crime thriller series created by Amaya Muruzabal and Salvador Perpiñá for Prime Video. Antonia Scott, played by Victoria Luengo, is a gifted woman whose sharp intellect once earned her a place in a covert European police force, until a gamble backfired and cost her nearly everything. Her ex-supervisor enlists a policeman, Jon Gutiérrez (Hovik Keuchkerian), to help reinstate her after a murder at her home and the kidnapping of a wealthy heiress. The engine of the show is the uneasy partnership between a disgraced genius and a reluctant cop, each episode pushing them through interrogations, hidden loyalties and dangerous leads as they try to rebuild her standing and uncover who is pulling the strings. Across two seasons and thirteen episodes of a serialized, continuing story, the tone is tense, cerebral and morally grey, with propulsive set pieces undercut by quiet, wounded character moments. Fans of The Bridge and Lupin will find resonance in its European crime texture, clever protagonist and layered conspiracy.
