## Synopsis

Oshi no Ko (2023-present) is a Japanese seinen anime series produced by Doga Kobo and based on the manga, broadcast on TOKYO MX. A small-town doctor whose life takes a sharp turn when he meets a popular teen idol holding a secret is pulled into the ruthless entertainment world. Aqua (Takeo Otsuka) and his twin Ruby (Yurie Igoma) are central figures, alongside idol Kana Arima (Megumi Han) and actress Akane Kurokawa (Manaka Iwami), whose ambitions and wounds collide inside the idol industry. The engine of the story is a personal vendetta carried into a world of managers, talent agencies, and carefully staged public images, with each episode unpeeling another layer of performance and private pain. Set in contemporary Japan, the series blends darkly melodramatic tension with sharp showbiz satire and moments of aching sincerity. Its supernatural reincarnation premise gives the drama an unsettling edge. Across a single season of thirty-five episodes, it moves at a brisk pace with a serialized structure. Fans of Death Note, Paranoia Agent, and Mad Men will find resonance in its layered mix of ambition, deception, and dark psychological stakes.
