## Synopsis

Old Fashion Cupcake (2022) is a Japanese boys love miniseries created for Fuji TV, running five episodes of roughly twenty-six minutes each. Workaholic Nozue (Kouhei Takeda) is so absorbed in his job that he has grown bored with his own life, until Nakamura (Atomu Mizuishi), a junior employee harboring a secret crush on him, begins drawing him out of his routine with new experiences and treats. Togawa (Tatsunari Kimura) and Sasaki (Momoka Ayukawa) add colleague perspectives on the office, while Kirishima (Rei Yoshii), Kawano (Sarara Saitou) and Imaizumi (Shun Bando) round out the workplace circle. Each episode is built from small everyday moments, shared sweets, lunch breaks and quiet conversations, that gradually shift how the older man sees his days. The story is a contained, low-stakes office romance set in a contemporary Japanese workplace, with the pace kept gentle and the emotional register calm, warm and wistful. Fans of Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, Bunny Drop and Hirunaka no Ryuusei will find a similar resonance in its gentle, sincere take on workplace romance and an unhurried, intimate bond.
