## Synopsis

Scavengers Reign (2023) is an American adult animated science fiction series created by Charles Huettner, Joseph Bennett and James Merrill, produced by Titmouse and Green Street Pictures for Max. Its single season of twelve episodes follows a crew whose deep space freighter is crippled by a solar flare and who are stranded on a lush, beautiful planet that quickly reveals itself to be unforgiving. Sunita Mani voices Ursula, Wunmi Mosaku voices Azi, and Alia Shawkat voices Levi, a group trying to outlast the environment long enough to escape or be rescued. The engine of the show is the slow accumulation of knowledge: each episode peels back another layer of the planet's strange ecology, and every discovery makes survival both more hopeful and more dangerous. Its episodes run about twenty-five minutes, and the storytelling is serialized, with one continuing thread rather than standalone adventures. The setting is a remote alien world drawn with lush, unsettling detail. The tone is surreal, cerebral and melancholic, with wonder and dread sitting side by side. Fans of Lost, Final Space and Annihilation will find resonance in its mix of survival tension, cosmic strangeness and adult animated ambition.
