## Synopsis

Divorce Attorney Shin (2023) is a South Korean legal drama miniseries created by Yu Young-ah and Lee Jae-hoon for JTBC, adapted from a webtoon. Cho Seung-woo plays Shin Sung-han, a former pianist who has turned to divorce law after a personal tragedy, and Han Hye-jin plays Lee Seo-jin, a principal figure in his courtroom world. Shin pursues his clients' cases with a relentless, win-at-any-cost approach, and each episode is built from a sequence of contested marriages, property fights, and custody disputes that turn the courtroom into an arena of bitter negotiation. The series runs twelve episodes of roughly sixty-six minutes, and its shape is a single contained arc rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone blends sharp, witty courtroom sparring with broad, self-consciously cheesy comedy and moments of melancholy about grief and loss. Set in contemporary Seoul, it sits within the korean legal drama tradition, and fans of Suits, Better Call Saul, and Live Up to Your Name will find familiar pleasures in its mix of polished legal combat and personal wounds. The mood is wry and bruised, with a lingering undercurrent of sorrow beneath the cheerful absurdity.
