## Synopsis

Wilderness (2023) is a British drama thriller limited series created by Marnie Dickens for Prime Video. Jenna Coleman plays Liv Taylor, a young British woman whose glowing American holiday with her husband Will Taylor (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) curdles into a nightmare once heartbreak takes hold and grief hardens into fury. Claire Rushbrook and Talia Balsam add pressure as the older women whose choices shape the couple's fate, while Morgana Van Peebles plays a figure drawn into the fallout. The engine is simple and corrosive: a wronged wife who wants reckoning, a husband whose secrets keep multiplying, and a landscape of open roads and vast national parks that offers no escape from the consequences. Told across six hour-long episodes, the story moves in a tight, continuous line, with flashbacks to earlier years filling in why the marriage began to fracture. The atmosphere is glossy and unsettling, with sun-bleached scenery undercutting a mounting sense of dread and moral unease. Fans of The Affair, Big Little Lies and Gone Girl will find resonance in its portrait of a perfect-seeming marriage collapsing into vengeance, a compact and binge-friendly watch that stays with its characters' hurt and anger throughout.
