## Synopsis

In the SOOP: Friendcation (2022) is a South Korean reality travel series created for JTBC, a spin-off of the In the SOOP franchise. Five friends, Park Seo-joon, Peakboy, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik and V, are sent on a four-day friendcation to Goseong, and the show follows them as they eat, wander and talk through the trip without a rigid script. The engine is simple: five close friends with busy careers steal a few days away from their schedules and let the journey unfold, with their easy banter and teasing supplying most of the entertainment. It runs as a single four-episode special of roughly fifty-five minutes each, so it is a short, self-contained trip rather than a long arc. Its setting is the coastal county of Goseong in Gangwon Province, a quiet seaside landscape rendered in the unfussy style of Korean variety travel. The tone is warm, breezy and cozy, leaning on affectionate friendship and gentle humor rather than competition or drama. Fans of Run BTS and In the Soop will find the same relaxed companionship, and the show suits viewers who enjoy celebrity travel, idol friendships and low-stakes comfort viewing.
