## Synopsis

Kaiser (2022) is a Bangladeshi crime mystery miniseries created by Tanim Noor for hoichoi. Afran Nisho plays homicide detective Kaiser Chowdhury, a driven investigator whose own personal and professional demons weigh on every step of the case. He takes on a double murder that seems straightforward at first but quickly reveals far more beneath the surface. Alongside him, Mostafizur Noor Imran plays Amlan and Shangkha Zaman plays Tonmoy, principal figures who help and complicate the hunt, while Shommo Joyti, Ahmed Hasan Sunny, and Mugdhota Morshed Wriddhi fill out a wide circle of suspects and associates. Told across a single season of nine short episodes of roughly twenty-seven minutes each, the show is one continuing investigation in which each clue reshapes what came before. The atmosphere is brooding and tense, with a moody, claustrophobic texture drawn from contemporary Dhaka life. Its puzzle-box structure and layered character study will appeal to viewers who enjoy Bengali-language crime thrillers, and fans of True Detective and The Killing will find a similar pull toward a damaged detective and a murky, morally tangled case.
