## Synopsis

MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES (2023-present) is a Japanese anime shounen comedy adapted from the manga, produced by A-1 Pictures and aired on Tokyo MX and other Japanese networks. Mash Burnedead, a young man raised by his father deep in a forest, spends his days training and bulking up despite being unable to use magic in a world where magic serves every purpose. When his peaceful life is threatened by magic users, his trained muscles become his weapon, and the series plays the familiar power fantasy of magic school and battle tournaments as a deadpan parody. Each episode is a brisk self-contained action-comedy with a continuing thread of escalating threats, and the tone stays bright, irreverent and playful. Fans of One Punch Man, Black Clover and Gintama will find resonance in its mix of absurd strength, genre mockery and affectionate fantasy spectacle. Its single season of twenty-four episodes is a colorful, easy-going watch with surprising warmth.
