## Synopsis

Shangri-La Frontier (2023-present) is a Japanese animated action fantasy series produced by MBS and aired across a broad network of Japanese stations, adapted from a popular manga and web novel. It follows Rakuro Hizutome (voiced by Yuma Uchida), an obsessive virtual reality gamer who has spent his life clearing buggy VR titles and could finish them half asleep. Seeking a real challenge, he enters Shangri-La Frontier, a celebrated god-tier game that proves far harder than he expected. Voiced by Azumi Waki as Psyger-0 and Yoko Hikasa as Arthur Pencilgon, his companions and rivals help shape each episode, which moves through combat, exploration, and the gradual unveiling of the game's hidden systems. Across its 51 episodes, the series runs as one continuing adventure with a steady escalation of skill and stakes. Its tone is upbeat and playful, with bravado humor and an eager, competitive energy, while the virtual world is vivid and rich with spectacle. Fans of Sword Art Online, Log Horizon and Overlord will find the same appeal in a gamer hero conquering an immersive fantasy world through skill and cleverness.
