## Synopsis

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion (2023) is a Japanese anime isekai romance series broadcast on AT-X and produced by Typhoon Graphics and Frontier Works. After a mysterious death, office worker Rinko is reborn as Raeliana McMillan, a wealthy heroine of a novel she remembers, and she knows the story will end with her murder at the hands of her fiancé. Voiced by Yume Miyamoto, Raeliana hatches a survival plan that revolves around a pretended engagement to the calculating duke Noah Voltaire Wynknight, voiced by Yuuichirou Umehara. Each of the twelve roughly twenty-three minute episodes is built from her scheming, the social maneuvering of aristocratic households, and the small shifts she causes in a story that is supposed to be fixed. The tone stays light and playful, with comedic reactions and gentle romance layered over the threat of a predetermined death. Set in a lush fantasy world of noble balls, political rivals and palace intrigue, the series plays like a shoujo romance with a clever, self-aware heroine. Fans of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! and Ascendance of a Bookworm will find the same reincarnation charm, while viewers wanting a lighter isekai with romantic stakes will settle in comfortably here.
