## Synopsis

Another Chance (2022) is a Turkish drama series created by Altan Dönmez for Show TV, a single-season run of 41 episodes with a runtime of two hours each. Ertan Saban plays Sadi Payaslı, a former bully haunted by the death of a young girl, who leaves his criminal past behind and reinvents himself as a geography teacher. His path crosses with five troubled teenagers fresh from a reformatory, and Özge Özberk plays Derya Yılmaz, a figure who shares the weight of the story. Devrim Özkan, Nilsu Berfin Aktaş and Mustafa Açılan appear among the principal cast. The engine of the series is the slow, sometimes painful work of earning trust: an unlikely mentorship built in classrooms and on the streets, where old enemies, family wounds and the pull of the past keep threatening to undo fragile progress. Each episode is built from concrete moments of conflict and small victories rather than one-off cases, so the story unfolds as one continuing arc. Set in contemporary Turkey, it is a melodramatic, emotionally direct series with a tender, hopeful core and a strong sense of found family. Viewers who enjoy Degrassi: The Next Generation and Dangerous Minds will find resonance in its focus on troubled youth and the redemptive power of a patient adult.
