## Synopsis

Chillin' in My 30s After Getting Fired From the Demon King's Army (2023) is a Japanese anime series produced by Encourage Films, Bit grooove promotion and Good Smile Film, airing on TOKYO MX and BS11. It follows Dariel (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), a dark soldier who cannot use magic and is dismissed from the demon king's army once the Four Generals are replaced. Arriving in a human village, he discovers that the adventuring skills considered useless among demons have flourished, and he resolves to spend his second life there. Marika (voiced by Akane Fujita) and fellow soldiers from his old post surface across the episodes as the requests pile up. Each episode is built from a village job: a monster hunt, a false accusation, a duel, each handled through Dariel's natural talent and the adjusting power he developed in his former role. The twelve-episode run keeps the stakes low and the pacing unhurried, with a light comedic register, cozy village warmth and a wry sense of a middle-aged worker finding dignity in a new trade. Fans of isekai comedy such as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Konosuba will find familiar pleasures here, along with the easygoing, job-centred charm of a slice of life fantasy.
