## Synopsis

Vortex (2023) is a French science fiction crime thriller miniseries created by Franck Thilliez, Camille Couasse and Sarah Farkas for France 2. The story follows policeman Ludovic Béguin, played by Tomer Sisley, who begins with two mysterious deaths and then finds himself drawn into a rift in time. Driven by the urge to set things right, he tries to change the past, and every choice he makes threatens to unravel the present he knows. Alongside him, Camille Claris plays Mélanie Béguin, and Zineb Triki plays Parvana Rabani, while Eric Pucheu appears as Nathan Leroy, all part of a tightly woven investigation. The six episodes of this one-season limited series are built around clue-chasing and mounting consequences rather than standalone cases. Set in contemporary France, the show balances the cold procedural rhythm of a police inquiry with a speculative pull toward temporal paradox. Its tone is tense and propulsive, with a sense of dread about what cannot be undone. Fans of Dark, The Killing and Hannibal will find resonance in its blend of crime mystery, time-bending plotting and morally strained detectives.
