## Synopsis

Copenhagen Cowboy (2023) is a Danish crime drama miniseries created by Nicolas Winding Refn for Netflix. Across six episodes of roughly fifty-three minutes each, the story follows Miu (Angela Bundalovic), a woman with mysterious supernatural abilities who has spent her life being sold as a human good luck charm. Her engine is a patient, burning quest for revenge against the people who wronged her, pushing her deeper into the criminal underworld of Copenhagen. Principal supporting figures include Nicklas (Andreas Lykke Jørgensen) and Mor Hulda (Lili Zhang), whose paths tangle with hers as the criminal world closes in. The series plays as a single continuing arc rather than a case-of-the-week format, with each episode deepening the violence and the mystery around her powers. Its neo-noir sensibility brings a dreamlike, neon-soaked stylization to a brutal milieu, with a brooding, hypnotic tone that favors atmosphere and imagery over rapid plot. Fans of Refn's stylized crime work, and of revenge thrillers in the vein of Drive and Bronson, will find resonance in its slow-building menace and its fascination with violence as spectacle. The result is an austere, unsettling miniseries about exploitation, control, and the price of reclaiming one's own body and fate.
