## Synopsis

The Koala Brothers (2003-2005) is an Australian stop motion children's animated series broadcast on ABC Kids. Its two koala protagonists, brothers Frank and Buster, voiced by Keith Wickham and Rob Rackstraw, live in the Australian Outback, where their whole purpose is lending a hand to their animal friends. Each short episode of roughly ten minutes follows a small problem that a neighbor runs into, and the brothers respond with cheerful, practical help that resolves neatly before the closing credits. The series runs two seasons and seventy-nine episodes, presented as a gentle sequence of self-contained stories rather than one continuing arc. Its atmosphere is sunny, warm and playful, with sprightly humor aimed squarely at young children, and its handcrafted stop motion look combined with bright three-dimensional touches gives the outback a bright, storybook quality. Its episodic structure, friendly animal cast and wholesome kindness make it an easy pick for preschool viewing. Fans of Bluey, Hey Duggee and Wallace and Gromit will find similar charm in its gentle, friendly world.
