## Synopsis

Laramie (1959-1963) is an American Western television series created for NBC by Revue Studios, a classic episodic frontier drama. Robert Fuller plays Jess Harper, a drifting frontier hand who rides into the lives of the Sherman brothers, Slim (John Smith) and Andy (Robert L. Crawford Jr.), who run a stagecoach line and ranch near Laramie. Hoagy Carmichael brings warmth as the wry Jonesy, while Spring Byington plays Daisy Cooper and Stuart Randall plays Sheriff Cory, rounding out a small community of townsfolk, travelers and outlaws. Across four seasons and 124 hour-long episodes, the engine is simple and steady: stagecoach runs, cattle drives and ranch disputes bring trouble to the Sherman station, and the men must protect their route, their livelihood and each other. The tone is wholesome and sincere, with a comforting sense of brotherhood and a dusty, open landscape that suits the era. Each episode largely stands alone, so the show works as an easy, unhurried watch. Fans of Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Rifleman will find the same classic western comfort, frontier loyalty and family-minded storytelling here.
