## Synopsis

Sakamoto Days (2025) is a Japanese animated action comedy series created for TV Tokyo and produced by TMS Entertainment, adapted from the manga by Yuto Suzuki. It follows Taro Sakamoto, voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, once the greatest hitman of all, who retired in the name of love and now runs a quiet neighborhood shop with his wife and daughter. When his past catches up with him, he must fight to protect the family he built. Shin Asakura (Nobunaga Shimazaki) and Lu Shaotang (Ayane Sakura) move through the story as allies and rivals in a world of hidden professionals. The engine of each episode is a clash between mundane errands and assassins who arrive at the door, with the comedy coming from how calmly the protagonist handles lethal fights. The series runs for a single 22-episode season, with an ongoing story. Its tone is cheerful and brisk, with bright slapstick and sudden bursts of brutal combat. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8 and Mr. & Mrs. Smith will find resonance in its blend of action spectacle and warm domestic comedy.
