## Synopsis

Red Rose (2022) is a British teen mystery series created by Paul Clarkson and Michael Clarkson for BBC Three. Across a single eight-episode season of roughly 45 minutes each, it follows Wren Davis (Amelia Clarkson), whose circle of friends finds its plans upended once one of them downloads the mysterious Red Rose app. Rochelle Mason (Isis Hainsworth), Ashley Banister (Natalie Blair) and Tariq Sadiq (Ali Khan) are among the principal friends drawn into the escalating situation. What begins as a harmless game of admiration gradually turns into something far more sinister, and the engine of the story is the group's attempt to understand who is behind the app while secrets and suspicion pull them apart. Each episode builds dread through online anonymity, a murder investigation, and the fragile intensity of teenage romance and angst. The tone is grim, eerie and suspenseful, with a supernatural horror edge bleeding into a contemporary teen drama. Fans of Black Mirror, Riverdale and Unfriended: Dark Web will find resonance in its blend of digital menace and youthful paranoia, though its reception has been mixed.
