## Synopsis

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (2023) is a Japanese animated isekai series produced by diomedéa and aired on AT-X. Princess Anisphia von Palletia (voiced by Sayaka Senbongi), a royal dismissed as inept at ordinary magic, draws on memories from her past life to develop a new theory called magicology. Her partner in discovery is the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia Magenta (voiced by Manaka Iwami), unjustly stripped of her claim to the throne. Anisphia devises a scheme to restore Euphyllia's good name, which means the two women living together and researching magic in a medieval kingdom of courtly rivalries, household servants and aristocratic politics. Ai Kakuma as Illya Coral and Shogo Sakata as Algard von Palletia add further royal and rival perspectives. The twelve-episode run is a single continuing story where each episode advances the research and the political maneuvering. The tone is light and witty, with a warm, cozy affection between the two leads that grows into a shoujo-ai romance. Fans of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Re:Zero and Kiss Him, Not Me will find resonance in its blend of reincarnation ingenuity, royal intrigue and gentle yuri romance.
