## Synopsis

Duranga (2022-2023) is an Indian Hindi-language crime drama series created by Charudutt Acharya, Anup Kumar Poddar and Goldie Behl and produced for ZEE5. Across two seasons and seventeen episodes of roughly thirty-three minutes each, it follows inspector Ira Jaykar Patel (Drashti Dhami), whose investigation into a string of murders leads her straight to her own husband, Sammit Patel (Amit Sadh, with Gulshan Devaiah also in the role of Sammit Patel and Abhishek Banne). Her engine is the pull between professional duty and private loyalty: every clue pushes her closer to the family she has built, while the family itself, including Dr. Patel (Rajesh Khattar), Anupriya Patel (Divya Seth Shah) and Anya Patel (Hera Mishra), is drawn into the fallout. Bala Banne (Zakir Hussain) and Prachi Banne (Barkha Bisht) add further pressure as the story widens. Each episode turns on interrogations, surveillance and domestic confrontations that gradually expose the gap between the polished surface of a perfect household and the lie beneath it. The tone is tense and paranoid, with a dread-filled marital suspicion running under the procedural machinery. Fans of Big Little Lies, Dexter and Sacred Games will find resonance in its curated domestic facade and its crime-driven unease.
