## Synopsis

The Company You Keep (2023) is a American network crime drama created by Julia Cohen and Phil Klemmer for ABC. Milo Ventimiglia plays con man Charlie Nicoletti, who wants out of the family business, while Catherine Haena Kim plays undercover CIA officer Emma Hill, closing in on the same criminal network. Their romance begins with a night of passion before either realizes how tightly their professional lives are bound together. Sarah Wayne Callies plays Birdie Nicoletti and William Fichtner plays Leo Nicoletti, adding family pressure to every scheme. The engine of the show is a double life: Charlie must pull one more job to clear debts held by a vengeful criminal, while Emma hunts that same figure, and each episode tightens the trap of lies they have told to protect the people they love. The single season runs ten episodes of serialized, tense plotting. Its tone is romantic and suspenseful, with a sly, glossy surface and a current of anxiety. Fans of Leverage, Burn Notice and The Americans will find resonance in its blend of charm, deception and espionage stakes.
