## Synopsis

Romantic Killer (2022) is a Japanese original net animation romantic comedy series created for Netflix, produced by the studio domerica. Living her carefree single life, young woman Anzu Hoshino (voiced by Rie Takahashi) has no interest in romance until a tiny matchmaking wizard, Riri (voiced by Mikako Komatsu), starts engineering clichéd romcom situations around her. Her friends, including Tsukasa Kazuki (voiced by Yuuichirou Umehara) and Junta Hayami (voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara), get swept into the chaos as each short episode stages another awkward encounter, misunderstanding and matchmaking scheme. The engine of the series is the comedic friction between Anzu's stubborn independence and the wizard's relentless meddling, with a group of friends caught between tender crushes and mischief. Across a single twelve-episode season of roughly twenty-seven minutes each, the story moves briskly through its scenarios. Set in a contemporary Japanese city, it carries a light, playful, self-aware tone that mocks romance tropes while still enjoying them. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Horimiya will find resonance in its lighthearted romantic banter and youthful group dynamics, making it an easy, breezy watch.
