## Synopsis

Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (2022) is an Indian Hindi-language crime drama series created by Rohan Sippy for Disney+ Hotstar. Pankaj Tripathi plays Madhav Mishra, a lawyer who returns to the courtroom to take on the toughest case of his career, one in which every fact resists easy reading and every witness may be hiding something. Shweta Basu Prasad as Lekha Agastya and Swastika Mukherjee as Avantika Ahuja anchor the investigation and the family drama that surrounds it, while Purab Kohli and Khushboo Atre add pressure from the margins. The engine of the show is the grind of building a defense, chasing contradictions in testimony, and weighing loyalty against conscience, with each episode peeling back another layer of a case that refuses to settle. Across a single eight-episode season of roughly forty-five minutes each, the series moves as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is sober, tense and morally weary, with a Mumbai courtroom and urban milieu rendered in grounded detail. Fans of Criminal Justice, Sacred Games and Suits will find the same blend of legal procedure, character-driven suspense and ethical grey areas that makes the series absorbing.
