## Synopsis

Bupkis is a American semi-autobiographical comedy series created by Judah Miller and Pete Davidson for Peacock. Pete Davidson plays a fictionalized version of himself, a comedian trying to hold together his unusual family and the strain that comes with celebrity. Edie Falco plays his mother Amy, and Joe Pesci plays his larger-than-life grandfather Joe Larocca, whose presence stirs up old loyalties and chaos. Bobby Cannavale, Brad Garrett and Steve Buscemi appear in supporting roles that widen the family web. The engine of the show is simple: Pete wants to build meaningful relationships while his fame keeps pulling him away from the people closest to him. Each of the eight half-hour episodes of this single season moves through awkward family gatherings, public attention and personal misfires, so that a small domestic conflict often feels as large as a headline. The tone is brash and irreverent but warm underneath, with sincere moments breaking through the jokes. Fans of Crashing, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Louie will find a similar mix of self-mocking celebrity humor and tender family observation. The show was canceled after its single season, leaving its story open.
