## Synopsis

The Clan (2022-2024) is a Romanian crime drama series created by Anghel Damian and Cristian Buje for Pro TV and VOYO. Following the adaptation's premise, it centers on a long, escalating struggle between police investigators and a mafia clan. Tudor Achim (Denis Hanganu) and David Pribeag (Marian Olteanu) anchor the story, with Comisarul Sef Costoiu (Șerban Pavlu) leading the police side and Vera Maximilian (Theo Rose) pulling the audience into the criminal world. The engine of the show is the push and pull between pursuit and loyalty: investigations, betrayals and shifting alliances drive each episode while romantic entanglements complicate who stands on which side. Across four seasons of thirteen episodes each, the series is one continuing serialized saga rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is tense and emotionally charged, with moments of intimacy sitting beside gunfire and menace. The setting is contemporary urban Romania, where state institutions and organized crime circle one another. Fans of Gomorra, Peaky Blinders and Narcos will find resonance in its blend of criminal power, police pressure and romance. The series wraps its central conflict with a bittersweet register.
