## Synopsis

The Hammer and The Rose: A Behzat Ç. Story (2022-present) is a Turkish crime procedural series created by Emrah Serbes for BluTV and HBO Max. Erdal Beşikçioğlu plays detective Behzat Ç., the title character, alongside İnanç Konukçu as Hayalet and Berkan Şal as Akbaba, with Ayça Eren playing Şule. Across four seasons and thirty episodes of roughly sixty-seven minutes each, the series follows the investigator as he pursues criminal cases that pull him through layers of corruption and danger. Its engine is the cat-and-mouse tension between a determined lawman and the criminals and colleagues who resist him, with each season built around a sequence of investigations that escalate into action set pieces. The tone mixes gritty crime with sharp humor and bursts of physical action, giving the series a restless, irreverent energy. Its roots lie in a Turkish crime-fiction tradition, and it will appeal to viewers who enjoy the rough-edged detective work of series like Behzat Ç. An Ankara Policeman and the procedural intensity of The Killing. The series is a continuing story rather than standalone episodes, so the investigations and character relationships develop as the seasons progress.
