## Synopsis

From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke (2023) is a Japanese television romance series adapted from the shoujo manga, broadcast on TV Tokyo and Netflix. Sara Minami plays Sawako Kuronuma, a gloomy high school girl who is mistaken for a ghost-like outsider by her classmates, and Ouji Suzuka plays Shota Kazehaya, the outgoing boy who reaches out to her and changes her school days. Kaito Sakurai as Ryu Sanada and Rinka Kumada as Ayane Yano round out the circle of friends whose everyday ups and downs fill each episode. The series is a single season of twelve half-hour episodes, a serialized but gentle story where the engine is simple: a shy girl wants to belong, misunderstandings get in the way, and small moments of courage and friendship slowly push her toward connection. Set in a contemporary Japanese high school, it unfolds in classrooms, after-school hangouts and quiet walks home. The tone is sincere, warm and wistful, with a heartwarming, earnest romance at its center. Fans of Ao Haru Ride, Orange and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find resonance in its shoujo sensibility and awkward, tender courtship.
