## Synopsis

Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga (2022) is an American documentary miniseries created for Netflix, a three-episode limited series with a sharp, irreverent streak. Rather than following a scripted protagonist, it gathers the people who lived the episode in their own words: self-described retail investors, Redditors and rapper-traders, alongside financial voices such as Citron Research founder Andrew Left, CNBC's Jim Cramer, Wall Street Journal markets reporter Gunjan Banerji and The Washington Post's Taylor Lorenz. The engine is the community's plan to pile into a battered stock and squeeze the short sellers, with each participant's stake and stakes made clear. Each of the three episodes is built from testimony, reporting and archival footage, moving briskly through the chaos of trading floors, online forums and the institutions that tried to hold the line. The mood is part celebration of underdog nerve and part skeptical unease about who really profits from the upheaval. Viewers drawn to The Big Short, Dirty Money and Inside Job will find a similar appetite for true financial drama told by the people inside it, and this brisk, mischievous account suits anyone curious about how a meme-fueled market revolt unfolded.
