## Synopsis

Black Snow is an Australian crime drama created by Lucas Taylor for Stan, a serialized mystery now in its second season. Detective James Cormack (Travis Fimmel) investigates unsolved murders and missing people in Queensland, focusing on cold cases where the trail has gone quiet for years. Beneath each new file lies his own private search for a younger brother who vanished during their childhood, and that buried loss shapes how he approaches every witness and suspect. Supporting characters including Zoe Jacobs (Jana McKinnon), Hazel Baker (Jemmason Power) and Samara Kahlil (Megan Smart) pull the investigation into tangled family histories, where old grudges and half-remembered events resurface. Each season builds a continuing story of twelve episodes across two seasons, with case threads and personal revelations tightening together. The tone is brooding and melancholic, with a patient, rain-washed atmosphere and a steady sense of dread about what the past conceals. Fans of True Detective, Mare of Easttown and The Killing will find the same weighted, character-driven pull toward grief and unanswered questions.
