## Synopsis

A Storm for Christmas (Julestorm, 2022) is a Norwegian national-television ensemble drama miniseries created by Per-Olav Sørensen and Lars Saabye Christensen and released on Netflix. Across six half-hour episodes, a group of travelers gathers at Oslo airport, some hoping to greet loved ones, some hurrying home to families, and some wanting to flee Christmas altogether. Their plans collapse one after another, leaving everyone stranded in the terminal with only about twenty-four hours until the holiday. Cast members Ida Elise Broch as Ida, Dennis Storhøi as Arthur, Maibritt Saerens as Ronja, Jon Øigarden as Marius and Valter Skarsgård as Henrik anchor the interlocking storylines. The engine is simple: each character wants a specific outcome before Christmas, and the airport itself keeps blocking them while the clock keeps ticking. Its tone blends wry comedy with seasonal sincerity, so the mood stays warm and slightly bruised rather than sentimental. Viewers who enjoy holiday ensemble films such as Love Actually and Home for the Holidays, or confined-setting dramas in the spirit of Lost, will find a familiar pleasure here. It is a short, self-contained miniseries that rewards an evening of festive viewing.
