## Synopsis

The Walk-In is a British miniseries created by Jeff Pope for ITV1, a five-episode true-story drama aired in 2022. Stephen Graham plays Matthew Collins, a man who once worked as a secret mole inside the British National Party and who, after fleeing into hiding, returns to Britain to build a new life. Jason Flemyng, Leanne Best, Andrew Ellis and Dean-Charles Chapman round out the principal cast. The engine of the story is a man trying to outrun the past that has followed him, while using what he learned from years inside the far right to reach young white men drifting toward radicalisation. Each episode moves between tense, paranoid moments of a double life and quieter scenes of hard-won outreach in London and across England. Presented as a single limited run, the drama is grounded and sober, with a measured, serious register and a focus on the cost of deception. Its atmosphere is claustrophobic and morally complex, the tone close to a grounded political thriller. Fans of Undercover, Line of Duty and American History X will find resonance in its true-story tension and its examination of extremism.
