## Synopsis

Leandro Díaz (2022-2023) is a Colombian national-television music biopic series created for RCN and Telemetro. Its title character, the composer and artist Leandro Díaz, is played as a young man by Abel Villa and as an adult by Silvestre Dangond, with Laura de León as Matilde Lina, Viña Machado as María Ignacia Díaz, and Mario Espitia as Arturo Díaz among the principal cast. The series traces the life of a figure who became a symbol of vallenato, the accordion-driven folk tradition of Colombia's Caribbean coast, following his climb from humble beginnings through the family ties and romantic entanglements that shape his music. Each stretch of the story moves between the composer's youth and his later years, so the rise of a regional artist unfolds as a family saga of love, loyalty and ambition. The tone is warm, nostalgic and sincere, rooted in the sound of the accordion, the dance halls and the song-filled landscapes that gave the music its identity. Its overall shape is a single two-season biographical run, with a complete arc rather than episodic cases. Fans of Narcos, Celia and Joe Arroyo will find resonance in its blend of Latin music culture, biographical storytelling and emotionally driven family drama.
