## Synopsis

My Lovely Liar (2023) is a South Korean tvN drama series created by Nam Sung-woo, a single-season romantic mystery of sixteen hour-long episodes. Mok Sol-hee (Kim So-hyun) is a woman who cannot trust anyone because she can hear lies, and Kim Do-ha (Minhyun) is a mystic composer who has concealed his unusual identity. Their lives collide as they work to uncover the truth behind a murder, and the case pulls in suspects, family secrets and old wounds. Supporting characters played by Seo Ji-hoon, Lee Si-woo and Yun Ji-on add friction and misdirection around the central pair. The engine of the story is the tension between a heroine who needs proof before she can believe anyone and a man whose secrets make honesty dangerous. Each episode blends sharp investigative clues with sweet, slightly melancholy romance and playful banter. Viewers who enjoy a Korean drama with a supernatural hook, a clever whodunit thread and a slow-building love story will find resonance here, in the vein of Lie to Me and Live. The tone is witty, emotional and atmospheric, with moody musical touches reflecting the composer's world. Contemporary Seoul provides the backdrop for a story about trust, deception and the cost of being truly seen.
