## Synopsis

Sons of Anarchy (2008-2014) is an American FX crime drama series created by Kurt Sutter. Set in the small California town of Charming, it follows the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, a Redwood Original charter that mixes a garage, gun running and other illegal dealings. Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam), the club's vice president and a son of its founder, wants to reform the club's violent ways, while his stepfather and club president Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) clings to the old school. Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) sits at the center of the family's loyalties and secrets, and Tommy Flanagan as Filip 'Chibs' Telford and Kim Coates as Alex 'Tig' Trager anchor the brotherhood. Each season builds a continuing story of rival gangs, law enforcement pressure and shifting alliances, with every episode pushing the club's internal power struggle forward. The tone is gritty, operatic and emotionally heavy, with raw loyalty and betrayal at its core. Its look is rough and dusty, its rock soundtrack driving the ride. Fans of The Sopranos and The Shield will find resonance in its family dynasty drama and its moral compromises. Across seven seasons the series stays at a steady level of acclaim.
