## Synopsis

Supersex (2024) is an Italian biographical drama miniseries created for Netflix, inspired by true events. Its seven episodes, each running about fifty-four minutes, follow Rocco Siffredi (Alessandro Borghi), who leaves a humble upbringing behind and pushes his way toward becoming the world's most famous porn star. Jasmine Trinca plays Lucia, and Adriano Giannini plays Tommaso Del Signore, with both characters orbiting the ambitions and sacrifices of the protagonist. The engine of the series is a single long climb: a young man with little money and fewer options wants recognition on his own terms, and every obstacle, from the stigma of his chosen industry to the strain on his relationships, pushes him harder. Episodes move through his early years and his growing notoriety as one continuing narrative rather than standalone stories. The show is a limited series that treats its subject with a frank, unembarrassed candor about sexuality, bodies and performance, while keeping a melancholic undercurrent about class and the cost of reinvention. Fans of Boogie Nights and Hollywood will find resonance in its portrait of an industry built on appetite and image. The tone is sober and intimate, with flashes of the appetite that made its subject famous.
