## Synopsis

Revolution (2012-2014) is an American network science fiction series created by Eric Kripke for NBC. When electricity suddenly fails worldwide, the country falls back into a brutal pre-industrial age, and fifteen years later Charlotte Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) sees her life upended when a militia kills her father. Her uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former soldier haunted by his past, joins her and an unlikely band of travelers on a dangerous journey across a fractured land, hunting for answers about the blackout and the secrets their families kept. Along the way they face rival factions, shifting alliances, and scarce resources, with Giancarlo Esposito adding menace and charisma as Tom Neville. The series runs for two seasons and forty-two episodes, mixing episodic encounters in new towns with a serialized mystery that drives the larger story forward. Its tone is grim and propulsive, with moments of hope and loyalty amid a world without light or machines. Fans of The Walking Dead, Jericho and Terra Nova will find resonance in its post-collapse survival, road-trip structure, and conspiracy-laced sci-fi mythology.
