## Synopsis

Hotel Cocaine (2024) is an American crime drama series created by Chris Brancato for MGM+. Danny Pino plays Roman Compte, a Cuban exile and general manager of The Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous hub of Miami's cocaine scene during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Michael Chiklis co-stars as Agent Zulio, while Yul Vazquez plays Nestor Cabal and Mark Feuerstein plays Burton Greenberg, with the cast circling Roman's efforts to keep his hotel running while the drug trade pulls everyone closer to danger. The engine of the show is the tension between ambition and loyalty, as Roman navigates shifting alliances among dealers, officials and business partners who all want a piece of his property. Presented as a single eight-episode season, it plays as a tightly constructed crime thriller rather than a sprawling saga. Set in a sun-bleached, neon-tinged Miami, the series is steeped in disco-era excess, velvet lounges and the cool menace of the drug underworld. Its tone is glossy and seductive yet steadily tense, with a sense of moral decay beneath the luxury. Fans of Miami Vice, Narcos and The Night Manager will find a similar blend of period style, criminal ambition and glamorous danger.
