## Synopsis

Under the Bridge (2024) is a United States true crime drama miniseries created by Quinn Shephard for Hulu. Based on the novel by Rebecca Godfrey and the real killing of fourteen-year-old Reena Virk, the eight-episode limited series follows Rebecca Godfrey (Riley Keough) as she looks into the hidden world of a group of teenage girls accused of the murder, while a local police officer pursues the case. Reena Virk (Vritika Gupta) is the young girl who goes to a party with friends and never returns home, and the investigation draws in the accused girls, including Kelly Ellard (Izzy G.) and Josephine Bell (Chloe Guidry), along with Cam Bentland (Lily Gladstone). Each episode moves between interviews, family homes and the institutions that shaped these girls, so the drama builds on bullying, dysfunction and a search for how ordinary teenage cruelty turned lethal. The tone is somber and unsettling, with a grounded, observational style that refuses easy answers and lingers on the damage done to everyone involved. Viewers drawn to The Staircase and the layered female-centered portraits of Mare of Easttown and Big Little Lies will find similar emotional weight in this story set in British Columbia.
