## Synopsis

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (2023-present) is an AMC zombie apocalypse spin-off created by David Zabel and set in a fractured, walker-infested France. Norman Reedus plays the crossbow-wielding drifter Daryl Dixon, who washes ashore with no clear memory of how he arrived and tries to find his way home. Along the road he must protect a young boy, Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), whom some survivors regard as a messiah, while navigating a French countryside of ruined villages and roadside danger. Clémence Poésy and Ériq Ebouaney appear among the principal cast as fellow survivors whose alliances shift with each encounter. Episodes are built around a journey that moves from one encounter to the next, with new walker variants and human factions such as the paramilitary Power of the Living testing Daryl's instinct to stay alone. Season by season the series layers its story into a longer serialized arc, with a three-season run so far. Its tone is gritty, lonely and occasionally tender, with bleak horror and sudden violence set against moments of quiet loyalty. Fans of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and The Last of Us will find resonance in its post apocalyptic survival atmosphere and its wandering-hero structure.
