## Synopsis

Island of the Sea Wolves (2022) is a Canadian nature documentary miniseries made for Netflix. Narrated by Will Arnett, the three-episode run travels across wild, wondrous Vancouver Island and the cold waters surrounding it, following the animals that depend on the Pacific. Bald eagles hunt fish from the shoreline while sea wolves swim through frigid currents, and the ocean is presented as the source that nurtures all of this life. Each 45-minute episode is built from patient field observation, sweeping coastal landscapes and close encounters with local fauna rather than a scripted plot, so the appeal lies in watching the rhythms of a single ecosystem unfold across seasons of the year. The mood is calm, reverent and curious, with an emphasis on natural wonder and the quiet interdependence of forest, sea and shore. Viewers who enjoy the scope of Planet Earth II, the coastal focus of Blue Planet II or the gentle narration of Our Planet will find a compact, family-friendly companion. It suits anyone wanting a short, soothing look at British Columbia's wildlife.
