## Synopsis

The Interest of Love (2022-2023) is a South Korean workplace romance miniseries created by Lee Seo-hyun, Cho Young-min and Lee Hyeon-jung for JTBC. Across sixteen episodes of about seventy-five minutes each, four colleagues at the same bank become entangled in a tangled web of desire. Yoo Yeon-seok plays Ha Sang-su and Mun Ka-young plays Ahn Su-yeong, with Keum Sae-rok as Park Mi-gyeong and Jung Ga-ram as Jeong Jong-hyeon rounding out the central quartet. The engine of the story is the question of how far each character will go for love when career ambition, money and office rivalries press in from every side. Episodes move through everyday banking life, boardroom pressures and late-night confessions, building a slow, tense atmosphere of longing and compromise. The series is a contemporary, single-season limited run set in present-day Seoul, with a melancholic, sincere and sometimes wry register. Its adult tone and emotional brinkmanship will appeal to viewers who enjoy a korean drama in the vein of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Crash Landing on You, as well as fans of the office intrigue of Mad Men.
