## Synopsis

Buddy Daddies (2023) is a Japanese animated crime comedy series produced by Aniplex and P.A.WORKS and broadcast on Japanese networks including TOKYO MX and BS11. Its two leads, Kazuki Kurusu (voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga) and Rei Suwa (voiced by Koki Uchiyama), are assassins who have never missed a mark, and their engine is the clash between their deadly careers and the sudden arrival of a four-year-old girl, Miri Unasaka (voiced by Hina Kino), whom they must raise. Each episode is built from hitman jobs, mafia entanglements and the daily chaos of bottles, school runs and childcare, so the comedy comes from professional competence turned toward diapers and bedtime. The story stays grounded in the underworld, with espionage and organized crime threading through the domestic plot. The 12-episode run is a single continuing season with a warm, comforting register, bromance chemistry and a steady current of tenderness beneath the gunfire. Fans of Spy x Family, Léon: The Professional and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find resonance in its mix of bright animation, dark crime and found family warmth.
