## Synopsis

Cross (2024-present) is an American crime thriller series created by Ben Watkins for Prime Video, adapted from James Patterson's novel series. Aldis Hodge plays homicide detective Alex Cross, a brilliant but damaged Washington DC investigator who is a doting father and family man yet becomes single-minded when he hunts serial killers. His closest partner, John Sampson (Isaiah Mustafa), backs him through dangerous cases, while his grandmother Regina 'Nana Mama' Cross (Juanita Jennings) anchors the household where his children Janelle and Damon are raised. The engine of the show is Cross's struggle to let love in while his wife's murder still haunts him, and each season is built from a hunt across the city's streets, interrogation rooms and family kitchens. Presented as a serialized thriller over two seasons and sixteen episodes, it is a grim, tense procedural with a moody Washington palette and a focus on grief, obsession and fractured family ties. Fans of Criminal Minds, The Killing and Hannibal will find resonance in its dark, character-driven pursuit of killers.
