## Synopsis

Attack on Titan (2013-2022) is a Japanese animated dark fantasy series created from Hajime Isayama's manga and produced by Wit Studio and MAPPA. Set in a world where the last of humanity lives behind enormous concentric walls, it follows Eren Yeager (Yuki Kaji), a young man whose world is shattered when man-eating giants break through, and his friends Mikasa Ackerman (Yui Ishikawa) and Armin Arlert (Marina Inoue). Their engine is simple and brutal: a fight for survival against creatures that devour people, paired with a growing desire to uncover what lies beyond the walls. Each season escalates from frightened combat in the streets to sprawling political conspiracy, with soldiers of the Scouting Legion and the reluctant Levi (Hiroshi Kamiya) carrying much of the danger. The four-season run unfolds as one continuing story, grounded in grim tragedy, moral compromise and cycles of revenge. Its tone is harrowing and propulsive, with fascist undercurrents and propaganda threading through the drama. Fans of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Game of Thrones and Berserk will find resonance in its dark mythology and unflinching brutality.
