## Synopsis

Our Universe (2022) is a British science documentary series created for Netflix and produced with BBC Studios Science Unit. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, the six-episode series follows a sweeping account of the universe across billions of years and the way its forces connect to the emergence of life on Earth. Each forty-five minute episode moves between vast cosmic phenomena, including the sun and the wider solar system, and the planet that makes life possible. Rather than a single protagonist, the series is held together by Freeman's calm, measured narration and by its scale, which moves from the largest structures of space down to the chemistry of living things. Its tone is contemplative and awe-filled, treating deep time as a source of wonder rather than anxiety. The production is a single season, suited to family viewing and to anyone curious about astronomy and natural history. Fans of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, Planet Earth II and Our Planet will find a similar blend of scientific explanation and cinematic spectacle, delivered in accessible, unhurried episodes that reward patient attention and invite viewers to see Earth as part of a much larger story.
