## Synopsis

Life on Our Planet (2023) is an American documentary miniseries presented by Netflix, a Silverback Films and Amblin Television production narrated by Morgan Freeman. Across eight episodes of roughly 53 minutes each, the series follows the long story of life on Earth, tracing how living things across billions of years have struggled to conquer new environments, adapt to changing conditions, and survive extinctions and upheavals. Rather than a single protagonist, the engine of each episode is a concrete chapter of evolution, with ancient seas, primeval forests, and prehistoric creatures presented through lavish, carefully constructed footage. Freeman's measured, warm narration gives the chronology a reverent, almost mythic pull, while the imagery stays grounded in natural history. The mood is awe-struck and contemplative, with moments of harsh predation and environmental peril that carry real weight. Fans of Planet Earth, Blue Planet and Prehistoric Planet will find the same blend of wonder, scientific storytelling and cinematic scale. It is a single-season limited run, complete in itself and suited to viewers who want a broad, reflective tour of deep time.
