## Synopsis

I Don't Like Driving (2022) is a Spanish comedy series created for TNT España, a short six-episode run of roughly 150-minute episodes. Juan Diego Botto plays Pablo Lopetegui, a college professor in his forties who decides to finally earn his first driver's license, and the premise turns that modest ambition into a sequence of awkward, escalating humiliations. Around him, Lucía Caraballo as Yolanda, David Lorente as Lorenzo, Carlos Areces as Satur, and Leonor Watling as Iria populate the supporting world of family, friends and acquaintances who react to his struggle with a mix of affection and exasperation. The engine is simple and relatable: a grown man who has avoided the wheel for decades must face instructors, traffic and his own nerves, and every lesson exposes insecurities he would rather keep hidden. Each long episode stretches a single situation into a slow comic unraveling rather than a case-of-the-week format. The tone is wry, gently self-deprecating and warm, with an undercurrent of midlife wistfulness about pride and reinvention. Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Ricky Gervais Show will recognize the cringe-tinged, character-driven humor that finds comedy in ordinary embarrassment.
