## Synopsis

Be Eternal: Champions of America (2022) is an Argentine sports documentary miniseries created by Juanma Martínez Medina for Netflix. Across three roughly forty-minute episodes it follows the national football squad as it chases its first major title in 28 years at the 2021 Copa América. Lionel Messi stands at the center of the story, appearing alongside coach Lionel Scaloni, midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, defender Cristian Romero and goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, all of whom appear as themselves. The engine of the series is the pressure of a long wait: the team must win match after match while carrying the hopes of a nation, and the cameras capture the training sessions, locker room talk and tense moments that surround each game. Each episode builds toward the tournament's knockout stages, giving the miniseries the shape of a single sustained campaign. Its tone is intimate, emotional and proud, with an atmosphere of collective anticipation rather than cynicism. Fans of The Last Dance and All or Nothing: Manchester City will find resonance in its close sports access and its portrait of a team and a star under pressure. Sports documentary fans and football lovers will find this a warm, absorbing limited series.
